Application for Additional Occupant

Complete this form if you would like to add a member to your household who was not there when you began your tenancy (an additional occupant).  

For each additional person aged over 18 years, the following supporting documentation is required:  

• Proof of identity 

• Citizenship/residency  

• Proof of income  

• Property/asset ownership (if applicable)  

Each application is assessed on a case-by-case basis and is subject to a formal assessment and approval process. 

NRH will advise you of the outcome in writing within 28 days.

NRH will store this information securely and keep it confidential. Your information will not be shared without your consent, except where required by law.  

It will only be used:  

• For the purpose for which it was collected.   

• In line with our Privacy Policy and all legal obligations.  

You have the right to update or withdraw this information at any time by contacting NRH.  

Due to the level of detail required for Part B: Additional Occupant Details, we recommend the tenant and the proposed Additional Occupant complete this section together. 

Note: Please complete a new form for each additional occupant. 

- I give my permission for the proposed Additional Occupant described above to be housed with me, if NRH approved this application.

- I agree that approval of an Additional Occupant to my household will result in the Additional Occupants income being considered part of the gross household income, therefore likely increasing rental payments.

- I acknowledge that I must also complete the Application for Review of Rental Subsidy Form, which must also include details of the proposed Additional Occupant.

- I confirm that I have read and understand the information above, and that all information I have supplied is true. I understand that giving false or misleading information is an offence, likely to result in penalties.

- I understand that I must notify NRH within 28 days of any changes in my household.
